DESCRIPTION & CONDITION
A super cool collectible for the breweriana and advertising enthusiast. Here we have the original 1937 photo signed "Clippinger '37 Fort Wayne" of a pair of hunting dogs that became the trademark for Berghoff Beer. On the back of the large framed photo (approx 18-12"x20-1/2", including frame) is the provenance that explains how the dogs were owned by Fred Shoaff and the photo taken by Clippinger in 1937. The photograph hung in Miller's Tavern (Ft. Wayne's oldest tavern) until it went out of business in 1969. The paper backing of the frame is starting to crack off a bit, but the photograph (the important part) is not affected whatsoever and has been protected inside the frame for years and years. Along with the framed photo, you will also receive a 13"x21" original advertisement using the very same artwork!
Very few opportunities present themselves to own something so unique.
