This is a new brake proportioning valve, this adjuster is good from 100-1000 PSI provides for a maximum decrease of 57% in line pressure.
With this adjustment,you can fine tune the front to rear braking balance by proportionately decreasing the rear brake line pressure.
When upgrading to rear disc brakes or larger front brakes, a proportioning valve is usually required.
